As means of a brief introduction, Gudanji For Country was formed in late 2021, as a way to formalise the work which we have been doing over the last few decades in protecting our Country and in advocating for social, cultural and environmental justice.

What to expect on your Gudanji For Country Bush Trip 2024.

Mission and Vision:

Gudanji For Country was formed to help elevate the voices of our Clan group, the Kurrunjini Rrumburriya (part of the Gudanji Nation), in speaking for and caring for our Country. As a grass roots First Nations organisation, we are fighting to protect our Country from the damaging effects of overgrazing, mining and now fracking.

In fighting to protect our Country, we also aim to elevate the voices of other First Nations and their own struggles. In doing so, we hope to better inform the wider public about our goals to protect Country, how they can join us in this fight and how we will all benefit from working together to protect our environment.

Our Gudanji Bush Trip will offer you an amazing opportunity to experience first hand the devastating impacts of climate change and extractive industries on our environment. Importantly, it will also provide an opportunity to discuss how we can work together to address these issues and, through finding solutions, protect the future for all of us.

We were fortunate to be able to share this experience with a wonderful group of individuals in July last year.

We thank all of them for taking the time with us out on Country and look forward to continuing to build upon these relationships going forward.

Scheduled for July this year, the Gudanji Bush Trip - 2024  will build upon the success of our inaugural Bush Trip. The dates for this year's trip are July 17 - 23. We will be leaving Darwin early on the 17th and returning in the evening on the 23rd - so best to plan to arrive in Darwin on or before the 16th and to leave Darwin on the 24th (although a few of our travellers caught some 'red eye' flights out of Darwin late on the 23rd!).

We look forward to sharing this year's experience with you.
